Still can't connect to server. Here's how it is to me...
5/10 times i get ...checking status --->unknown (even though my connection is fine)
2/10 times i get ...Ok, XXXX players online ---> blank character selection screen that does nothing
2/10 times i get ...Ok, XXXX players online ---> normal character selection screen that does nothing when i click on my character.
1/10 times (probably less) i can get on the server and play normally but only from 1min - 1hr before i have to start all over again.
The times when i can't connect seem to last from 1hr to 4hrs at a time. VERY FRUSTRATING!
I have just (last night) bought the game and subscribed. WHAT AN IDIOT! i really think ccp should fix this. i have posted numerous times with my ping trace and of course had no useful replies.
CCP PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS BEFORE DOING ANYMORE 'GAME TWEAKING'! some of us (quite a few by the sounds of it) can't even log in and play.

Maybe we should make a new post, every time we get disconnected or cant connect!!!
It's happend twice now since my last post.

Had a nice 3hrs of game play today !!! v rare, but again I'm disconnected and left in space to die. I've been trying to connect for last 30mins, no joy.
Again mostly i get a blank character selection screen with no way to continue, or i get mycharacter but it wont load.
PLEASE SORT THIS OUT, we love your game but this is getting silly.

I was so pleased after the new patch today, i got on TQ two times in a row without any problems, i thought my prayers were answered!
but No. Of course not. After being thrown off by the unexpected (2nd) server shutdown today (yes im still drifting in space somewhere), i cant logon. I get the same old TQ OK xxx players, but it wont go any further.
I've tried the command prompt method and the vista method. and changed by eve.exe shortcut - no joy.
So it's just the same as it was before for me, a real pain to get on (usually takes 1hr of constant trying), but now it's probably worse.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH someone from ccp reply to our problems!! 
Does no-one care?

I'd just like to report that I've now have no disconnects since last night. THANKS CCP!!! this game is now awesome. I'll report back if problems reoccur. I cleared the cache and the new patch together seemed to work.

OK, now it's not connecting again. so it's nothing to do with the patch or the cache thing.
I have noticed that this does not happen when tranquillity has about 17000 people on it or LESS. At least that's the only time I've been able to connect recently.
Groan... please sort it out ccp. or at least post a message in this thread to say 'WE HEAR YOU PAYING CUSTOMERS, WE'RE SORTING IT OUT!!!' or something similar.
I'm going to bump this every time i can't connect. (well every 10th time or this thread will be 1000's long in no time).
